Sit and back to the professor

Joris orders the captain to 'Sit and return to the professor'. He takes this very literally and sits down immediately.

Bassie and Adriaan arrive by car and see the two just sailing away in a boat.

These recordings took place in the harbor at Playa de Puerto Rico. There are now many more buildings than during the shooting, but a few buildings in the background can still be recognized.

Due to production issues, several scenes were cut from the script. Possibly the scene after this scene has also been deleted because in the next shot Bassie and Adriaan walk on a beach and Bassie asks if Adriaan has captured the boat correctly. Apparently Bassie and Adriaan took a boat and went after Joris and the captain until they lost sight of it.

The scene was also recorded in this harbor where Bassie and Adriaan leave with a boat to shoot fireworks.
