Ekerö Church

Season, episode 1 shows recordings of the choir of the boarding school on the occasion of the opening of the new school year. The interior shots were made in the church of Ekerö.

The Ekerö Church with its characteristic spire is a beautiful element of the landscape from both land and sea. The church is located on the northern shore of Ekeröfjärden near the steep beach slope. The church was built at the end of the 12th century as a farm church for Askanäs. A number of restorations and additions have taken place over the years and the current church is considerably larger than the original. The restorations carried out after the 19th century have changed the appearance of the church only slightly.

The final episode of season 1 was filmed in a different church. From season 2, the church of the village of Ska is the decor inside as well as the outside shots.
